As part of the group controlled by the Hawker Siddeley Aircraft Co. all their resources were behind the evolution of the new Two-Litre Armstrong Siddeley which went into production in 1945. Several models were built over the following years with the total production run being 22,717.
The production potential was diverted to more profitable pursuits than car manufacture and this finally ceased in 1960 with one solitary Mk II Star.
Armstrong Siddeley Gold Portfolio 1945 - 1960 covers road tests with technical and performance data, buying used and a small historical section.
Models covered: 16/18 HP, Sapphire 234, Sapphire 236, Sapphire 346, Star Sapphire and Star Limousine, Typhoon, Hurricane Drophead Coupes, Sapphire Limousine, Whitley, Lancaster.
