description

The original Civic was introduced in 1973 and over the years gained a good reputation. A decade later the CRX was announced; strictly a two-seater with plenty of room. The 1.5-litre engine was packed neatly under the bonnet.

The 1985 Si introduced Honda's new Programmed Fuel Injection system. In answer to European criticism of lack of power a 16v, 1600cc engine arrived here in 1986 giving 125bhp. Ride and handling were also improved.

Honda CRX 1983 - 1987 is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, specification and technical data, long term and owner's reports, new model introductions and special conversions.

Includes, Si, 1.5, 1.6, Coupe, Spyder.
