The Animalia Wall Frieze is based on the alphabet book "Animalia", with fantastic and detailed pictures bearing such labels as "Lazy lions lounging in the local library." Also comes with a riddle sheet which contains clues and answers to further objects in the frieze.
Content & Background: ● Origins: This frieze is a large-format adaptation of Graeme Base's groundbreaking 1986 alliterative alphabet monograph, Animalia. ● Design: Every letter of the alphabet introduces a complex, absurdly alliterative sentence (such as "Lazy lions lounging in the local library"). This is paired with an incredibly dense visual landscape filled with hundreds of hidden objects starting with that same letter. ● The Riddle Sheet: Provides interactive clues and answers to help children locate additional hidden items concealed within the artwork
